Search engine optimization, or SEO, is a term you would commonly hear when you are in the midst of planning for outsource services to promote a website. So if you’re new to making sites/ blogs, then you might be asking “What does SEO mean?” SEO means Search Engine Optimization, hence the letters S, E and O. The acronym itself is self-explanatory. You type a keyword that you are looking for then a search engine will redirect you to the search engine results page (also known as SERP). Websites that appear top of search engine results has the potential to earn millions. If the main idea behind getting traffic wasn’t getting money, there would be no such industry.

When a surfer accesses the internet, 90% of the time his homepage is a search engine like Google or Yahoo. When you have a question and you want to research on the internet, then you go to a search engine and look for useful information from sites displayed on your search. So basically, people start off surfing by using the search engines. So if you have a website to promote, your main objective is to be displayed on top of the search results using techniques such as Link Building and Indexing and other SEO methods. Hiring a good SEO professional to promote your site is the sure way to earn money through the internet.
