(Sigh) WOW!!!

Rent A Coder, which was established in 1998 in Tampa, USA, has a customer base revolving around small companies that don’t have the resources to hire a full-time software developer or have more work than their current full-time staff can handle. It has long been the subject of numerous studies by leading educational institutions, including Harvard University, American University, University of Massachusetts and many others.

Telecommuters that are excellent in a cosmic array of diverse region of expertise bid on projects in an evenly fat number of areas. The company then offers a link connecting telecommuters to different businesses or service buyers and vice versa. A general evaluation system guarantees that buyers select coders that perform at best, and coders can avoid the terrible buyers.

The proof, as they say, though, is in the pudding. Nearly 100,000 buyers have active accounts and nearly 95% of all new projects are posted by repeat buyers (compared to a mere 65% within the software industry in general). As every service provider or business knows, repeat buying only  occurs when the buyer is happy enough with the service to use it again. http://www.rentacoder.review-inc.com/

RentACoder was one of the first marketplaces of its kind. Through the years, it keeps on outperforming its rivalry in every way that pave its way to web popularity. Overlooking the positive write-ups as well as affirmative articles about Rent A Coder is way too impossible. Moreover, disagreeing with remarkable statistics isn’t possible. Besides, we cannot argue with Math, can we?

So much for the statistics — now, let’s get down to the ease of Rent A Coder’s website navigation.

Just like the previous website we have discussed about, RAC has basically two kinds of player: The Buyer and the Provider. The question is, “How friendly RAC is to its user?” First, let us focus on the Buyer’s side. To start with, posting a project in RAC is entirely F-R-E-E-! There are no service charges and no finder’s fee. Bidding is classified into 4 types:

  1. Open Auction: To receive bids from all coders on the site.
  2. Private Auction: To receive bids only from coders that the buyer has invited.
  3. One-on-one Project / Enhancement: To give new or enhancement work to a coder that the buyer has worked with before. *Note: 2.5% discount for coder
  4. Bonus / Immediate Payment: To give a fixed bonus or other immediate payment to a coder that the buyer has worked with before. Payment is sent immediately…NO escrowing occurs. *Note: 5% discount for coder.

The buyer is in any way under no obligation to accept any bids sent to you unless you choose to.   Once the buyer has accepted a bid, he will place his payment into escrow. The money is not released to the coder, till they complete the work according to the buyer’s original specification. (RAC)

As for the Provider, by just completing a free registration, he can publicize his skills on the online resume system and receive emails as new bid requests come in.
RAC handles all the money collecting so the provider can concentrate on what he is best at…coding. By the time the provider begins to work, the buyer’s money has already been placed into an escrow account, freeing him from the problem of getting ’stiffed’. To pay for this service, Rent a Coder charges coders a 15% Rent a Coder Fee on the profit from work and questions. So if the provider doesn’t find work, RAC don’t get paid.

When asked about the greatest rewards that the RAC’s founder has experienced running his own company, his answer is plain and simple: The ability to change people’s lives by giving them a way to provide for their loved ones, when they couldn’t before. And according to him, the most important factor to the company’s success is willingness to change/adapt. So let me ask you the same questions that RAC are asking away:

Are you looking for a coder to help you create the next ‘killer application’ or help you with a tough problem?

Are you looking for ways to earn extra income using your hard-won technical skills?

If your answer is yes to any one (or even both) of these questions, then Rent A Coder is waiting for you!
