Where To Get Your Wordpress Themes and Plugins Created

No Wordpress blog can be managed as a web outsource without a good understanding of Wordpress themes and plugins! Arguably Wordpress is the best blogging platform available. It is Open Source software which means it is free, and it has an established community of amateur/developers creating new themes and plug-ins every day which are offered free to you to use.

Nowadays more online business people are using Wordpress blogs instead of websites to sell and market their product(s). Why? Because Google loves them! Ask a web developer for a more accurate answer and you will get one.

A good blog is a relatively simple web outsource project and is essential for your product or service to be successfully recognized. Understanding Wordpress themes and plug-ins will lead you to creating the best possible coding platform on the net. These are the buzz words: DHTML, PHP, HTML, CSS and MySQL; all Open Source coding and database platforms.

Wordpress themes and plug-ins have a huge reputation. Did you know that the number of Wordpress bloggers jumped up by 50%, in the United States alone? The question to be asked is – Do you have the skills in-house to design good blogs? Most importantly, do the resources in-house to even understand what goes on behind the creation of a good blog?

Here’s a bit of technical jargon to inform you of what is happening within the structure of your Wordpress blog. 3 things:

• Design
• Code
• Content

The design is the theme, it is made up of code but it is a separate from the program that controls the platform. It is the outward design that you see when you visit the site.

The code is the PHP programming that controls all the processes when you are working inside the admin panel.
The content is stored in the MySQL Database. When you create a new page or blog entry that is not a separate file but entries stored in the database.

I will quit while I am ahead, I have a rough enough idea of how it operates but the point I was coming to is that the themes can be modified to give your site a unique look and that can be done without compromising the code or the content as they are all kept separate.

A brief word about plug-ins, the name speaks for itself, but there are tones of mini programs available that will make your Wordpress blog do lots of cool things like display video or play MP3’s.

Themes and plug-ins can be modified to you specific uses or you can have brand new ones made for you, now we are getting to the point. Who can do it and what does it cost?

Create a project on Scriptlance or Freelancer~GAF and within an hour you will have PHP outsource developer s offering to do them for anything between $20 and $100 – unbelievable eh?

Not convinced? A commercial PHP programmer will charge you an average of $90 an hour, you could be looking at two maybe 4 hours labour; would you like to employ an experienced PHP outsource programmer in India for $10 an hour, this is entirely possible and is and has been a happening thing for almost a decade.
All a freelancer has to do is to integrate your demands to the functionalities of Wordpress. In fact, the only modification the freelancer would be doing is on the templates and the existing designs. Maybe, adding a few plug-ins could be an add-on but should not be a challenging task for the right professional.

Get the freelancer or the outsourcing company to send you samples of blogs done in the past. You could judge the freelancer’s creativity and working knowledge of Wordpress by looking at the examples he has sent you. Please note, bids will vary depending on how good the professional is, he or she will also be bidding on a project-project basis, thus the charge should not be much of a problem.

Please note a freelancer good at Wordpress plug-ins would be able to integrate most things you want of your blog. Unless you wish to achieve a real complex feature for your blog, I would think the project outsourced should be a rather short one with a turnaround not greater than 1-2 days. Outsourcing Wordpress themes and plug-ins to freelancers with good working knowledge of Wordpress is thus one of the simplest tasks not requiring too much strict project management.
